Preparox is available on the Apple App Store for iPhone (iOS 17 or later). Search "Preparox" or tap the Download button on this page. The app is free to download — no credit card required.

The free plan gives you 3 practice sessions per month, up to 5 questions per session, and basic feedback. It's a great way to experience the app before upgrading. STAR analysis, speech insights, resume/JD personalisation, and multiple interview languages unlock with a paid plan.

After downloading the app, you'll be guided through a short setup: choose your industry, experience level (Junior, Mid-Level, Senior, or Lead), and target role. This takes under 2 minutes and drives everything — the questions Preparox generates will be calibrated to your exact profile.

Select your role, interview type (Behavioral, Technical, Mixed, or Case Study), and level, then tap Begin Interview. Preparox generates relevant questions one at a time. You record your spoken answer, and the AI analyses it immediately — giving you a STAR score, transcript, speech performance breakdown, and specific coaching notes.

STAR stands for Situation, Task, Action, Result — the gold-standard framework used by hiring managers at top companies. After each answer, Preparox evaluates how well you covered each component and gives you a score with specific feedback on what was strong and what to improve.

Your Confidence Score is a 0–100 composite metric that tracks your overall interview readiness across sessions. It improves as your STAR scores improve, your filler word count drops, your pacing becomes more consistent, and your answer structure gets cleaner. Think of it as your overall interview fitness level.

Speech analytics analyses your spoken answers for: words per minute (ideal interview pace is 130–160 WPM), filler word count (um, uh, like, basically, etc.), and total speaking time. Available on Monthly, Annual, and Lifetime plans.

On paid plans, you can upload your CV and paste the job description for the role you're targeting. Preparox uses both to generate questions that reference your actual experience and the specific requirements of the job — making practice feel like the real interview.

Paid plan users can conduct interviews in English, Arabic, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Polish, and Russian. The free plan is limited to English. Preparox's speech recognition is accent-aware and calibrated for non-native English speakers.

Your streak counts consecutive days of completing at least one practice session. Maintaining a streak is one of the strongest predictors of score improvement. The streak badge appears on your home screen and in your session history.

Open Preparox → Settings → Subscription. You'll see the three paid options: Monthly ($9.99/mo), Annual ($59.99/yr), and Lifetime ($149.99 once). All payments are processed securely through Apple — we never see your card details.

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not Preparox. To cancel: open iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Preparox → Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. Cancelling does not delete your account or history.

Annual ($59.99/yr) renews automatically each year and includes the GPT-4o AI model upgrade. Lifetime ($149.99 once) is a single payment that grants permanent access to all features — including all future features added to the app — with no renewals ever.

Yes. Your session history, scores, and transcripts remain in your account after cancelling. You simply lose access to premium features. If you re-subscribe later, everything is still there.

Refund requests are handled by Apple. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com within 90 days of purchase. Apple reviews each request individually.

Check that Preparox has microphone permission: iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → toggle Preparox on. If it's already on, try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, restart your iPhone and try again.

Make sure you're running the latest version of Preparox from the App Store. If the issue continues, delete and reinstall the app — your account data is stored in the cloud and will be restored on login. For persistent crashes, contact us at support@preparox.com with your device model and iOS version.

Scores update in real time after each session ends. If you don't see an update, pull down to refresh the home screen. Make sure you completed the session fully (tapped "Save & Return Home") — sessions that end mid-way are not saved.

Check notification permissions: iPhone Settings → Notifications → Preparox → make sure "Allow Notifications" is on. Also check that Focus / Do Not Disturb mode isn't blocking Preparox notifications.

Audio recordings are transmitted securely over TLS to our AI processing pipeline and stored on Supabase servers for up to 90 days after each session, enabling replay and review. After 90 days, recordings are permanently deleted. You can also request earlier deletion at privacy@preparox.com.

Open Preparox → Settings → Account → Delete Account → confirm deletion. All your data (profile, sessions, audio, scores) will be permanently removed within 30 days. This action is irreversible.

Email privacy@preparox.com with the subject line "Data Access Request". We'll send you a full export of your personal data within 30 days.

No. We do not sell personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers. Your audio and session data is used solely to generate your coaching feedback and is never shared with third parties for any other purpose. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
